Sunrise Half Marathon and 5k

Are you looking for a half marathon and 5K run in the Miami or Fort Lauderdale area? One race that is not too far of a drive from Miami is the Sunrise Half Marathon and 5K run. This event features miles of scenic views throughout Markham Park and the Sawgrass Corporate Industrial Park. The shady course is very scenic. There are also some other cool features of the race.

The finish line runs under a bridge that runners are running over the top of. The race is also pretty spectator friendly because about a third of the race is inside of Markham Park. The beginning of the race and then the final third is also an inside the park. Spectators can stay in the park and see quite a bit of the race.

You are just a few short miles from Miami and the Fort Lauderdale area. The Sunrise Half Marathon and 5K also has a few other great features. There is ample parking near the start and finish line area. That is something that is missing at some of these larger races in the area. There usually is not anywhere close to enough parking so that provides runners with an added layer of anxiety race morning. This is not something you have to worry about at the Sunrise Half Marathon and 5K.
